Food is adequate n service is sub par its turned into some kinda club which is totally ridiculous for a restaurant

Service was really poor and I kid you not it turns into a nightclub at 9pm. So not only do you have a language barrier but then you have a sound barrier. And then trust to charge $30 for one drink and one chimichanga which was not good at all.

I wish they had a 3rd of a Star. This has to be the most unsanitary place I have been to in a long time. Restrooms were horrible. Shortly after we were seated for a party, we had a special unwanted guest (José the Roach) to appear unexpectedly on the table waiting to place its order as well. Manager took off gratuity for the incident for the appearance of the unwanted guest. It did take a while for the waiter to get our orders correct. We didn't even get a refill on our drinks. Some of the customers even had to walk to the bar, order their own drinks, and then return to their table. Customer service was at its worst. The manager promised to discount our tickets. He did not do as promised. I will NOT be giving them any more of my business.

Fair prices and fast friendly service with a smile is what you will find at Papitos Mexican restaurant.

Wwnt for my girls 18th birthday. The wait was for ever. Some food was cold when it came out. Waiter was cool. Missed the first DJ. Just not going back for a while

Would give zero stars if possible. Went there to have a nice meal with my family at what I thought would be a nicer Mexican restaurant. We walk to the door and see a Parental Advisory sign posted like what they put on a CD case (see photo). Little did we know that Papitos turns into Club Hood Rat at 9. Do NOT come here for a family Mexican restaurant as it is anything but that. After reading the other comments I'm very glad that we took our business elsewhere. There are so many other options and this will never be one for us again.

I wish there was a way to give 0 stars, but I had to give at least one in order to write this review. The hostess was very rude- she barely spoke one word to my boyfriend and I from the time we walked in the door to when we were seated. We sat outside on the patio, which was an extremely depressing environment due to no music or any sign of fun or liveliness. We ended up leaving after waiting almost 15 minutes for someone to come get our drink orders. On our way out, we had to walk through the restaurant and passed many staff, including the hostess who seated us. No one said anything to us on our way out. I am glad we left and went to Jason's Deli.

Absolutely TERRIBLE service! A group of 8 went in waited an hour for our food. Only half of us received our food and it was cold! Not only was it cold but the order was wrong!. When we asked to see a manager the waitress proceeded to take another tables order before even telling him of our complaint. 30 minutes later she returns to say the manager said he's busy he'll be with you as soon as he can.

Came in with 2 of my kids. Sat down, and was given chips and salsa. A table sat down behind us a few minutes later. We were almost finished with our chips and salsa and were looking around for someone to greet us and bring us drinks. A waitress had already greeted the table that sat after us. Multiple waiters were sitting in booths laughing and joking and singing to the music. After a few minutes we got up and left

The service was not the best but the food was hot and correct. Drinks are overpriced and not even close to strong. Also turns into club after a certain time and I was not aware.

Me and my daughter went and really enjoyed the food. The service was great and timely.

Bad service. Bad unseasoned food.. canned refried beans... ewwwwww.... horrible server.. Refused to refund both dishes.. I would give them a -5 But i can't. And several other people sent their food back... disgusting!!!!!!!!!!! Don't EAT HERE!!!!!! The silverware was dirty...

Worst place ever to eat!! I'm usually not one to complain. But it was an all around horrible experience! We made 3 orders and they told us 15-20 minutes. We picked up in 15 minutes and the food was already cold. The chips are stale. I called to try to request the food to be remade or a refund. The "manager" was very rude. I asked to talk to someone over him and he refused and told me there's nothing they can do not can I talk to anyone else. Will not return! Please drive the extra 5 miles to the Papitos a little farther down.

Food was totally disgusting it's like they put extra hot sauce or something super spicy in the beans and stood there and watched to see our reaction then began laughing it was to young waiters. I've review alot of food places from mom and pop I usually don't write a review on this site but this place is not only childish but dirty and the food was horrible bland besides the joke played by those waitress my pallet was off for 3 days. Do not purchase the over priced mixed drinks they water the liquor down. Seen them do it while walking up to the bar to have my drink fixed

Do not go here. It took 45 mins for the server to bring our drinks, then when we got our fajitas, the meat was soured, and they took another 20 mins to bring our check.

Its a club on Thursday. You've gotta see it!! Good service.

I don't give a zero because it's not possible. Bad customer service, bad food, and rude staff. My order took more than 1:30 hour to be ready. They messed up all the orders, and did not take mine and some others. I would never recommend this place, and I will never come back there.

This is totally the worst place in Jackson. .they tried to charge me fo a drink nobody ordered...they wouldn't take it off.food sucked...paid atab of $380 for 12 people. And had a rent a cop harass us leaving. .thats a exactly the reason this place has such low ratings ...will die before i ever deal with this establishment again..word to the wise go elsewhere

Today I went to this restaurant for the first time because I was in town and I wanted to go so we stop by ordered our food our waitress was name Stephanie at the end she came and asked us was we ready for our bill we all told her yeah she left the table...After sitting there waiting on her for a good 15 minutes she never returned back to our table so we proceed to go to the front to ask for our bill ticket and the guy told us that Stephanie had clocked out for the day but he could check us out... the nerve of Stephanie to make our tickets and add her tip and clock out ..Poor customer service

I have never left a review before but this restaurant needs one. If I could.give it a 0 or negative stars I would. The silverware was dirty. I was on a date and we bother ordered a dish with chicken. The chicken wasn't season and was very dry. I told the waiter and the manager took my plate away but left the other dish. When I told the waiter we both wasn't satisfied he told me well the manager took 1 meal off already and he walked away. The manager never apologized or asked if we wanted anything else. I will never return and I honestly do not understand how they have customers. I sat and watched people returning their plates because they were unsatisfied. The bottom line is THIS PLACE SUCKS IN ALLLLLLL AREAS!!!!

The food is ok but one of the owners is very rude. The owners had no professionalism and bosterious about he was the owner. He is not good presentation for this facility. They want you to pay extra for everything. I ask if we can get a carry out they wanted to charge 45 cent for each to go cart. You pay 18 percent gratuity plus to go tray and rudeness. I came out of town to Jackson MS to get mistreated. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I was greeted at the door by a very friendly and humourus host. Once seated, i watched two waiters run back and forth pass me for over 15 minutes. Never acknowledged I was there, no beverage, no chips n salsa, not even a wink. There were 2 large parties there complaining about the weak house drinks... otherwise, the place was empty. Meanwhile, an additional waiter lurking out the patio door making no effort to assist. I'm sorry... 15 minutes is far to long to wait to be acknowledged in an almost empty resturant.

Wow... where do I start? It's not surprising that in searching for an option to write a review, I learned that their last four reviews were all 1 stars...I've been going here for a couple years. The place I expiernced tonight is far different from what it used to be. They used to have great people like Omar @ the bar that gave great service. The owners should be ashamed to put a product like this out! Absolutely horrific leadership from top to bottom! I wouldn't be surprised if they are out of business in a year at this rate. I'll never go back which is a shame considering I used to spend about 40 bucks a week there Our server left me appalled with his lack of respect! Blatantly disrespectful and inconsiderate! Those folks are hustling our community!! go support an establishment that respects you, and value your dollar. Bad biz guys. You lost a my biz due to bad leadership and horrible service. Shrimp Chimi is really good on the lunch menu!

I would actually give this business a Zero!!! Last Friday, my family & I went here to celebrate my cousin birthday. We had a party of 10. Keep in mind now we always come here & we always have had a party of 10 or more. Anywho we sat down at our section which we didn't have enough space for everyone to sit down so the waitress calls her manager over to tell us if we want an extra booth, we will have to wait (again) to be seated & also since our party is 10 we will have one ticket. In other words, our entire order will be on one receipt. We proceeded by walking out & headed to Margaritas. I was never told that not one time since I've been going to this restaurant & that is very crazy.

Wish I could give it 0 stars. Our food came out before we ever got our drinks or even our chips and salsa. Then, we still didn't even have plates or silverware for our fajitas. The waitress ran our credit card for the bill of the table next to ours, which was twice as expensive. It took an act of Congress for the incompetent waitress and manager to figure out how to void that transaction and get us the correct bill. This all doesn't even begin to describe the terrible atmosphere. They started blaring rap music and it turned into a club in the restaurant at 8:30. Couldn't even hear ourselves talk. Go anywhere but here for Mexican food.

Actually, I would give them a zero. Customer service is non-existing. No respect for customers; services $16 drinks in plastic cups and tell you that they do not service drinks in glasses on Thursdays; and, forces people to pay for food and drink once ordered eventhough customers cancel their orders due to piss poor service. Calls police over $3 when you pay for unwanted food and drinks and they fail to charge correct price for drink despite your this satisfaction. In a nutshell, DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! Margaritas is ten times better to include food, drinks, and service.

Came to papitos tonight for an babyshower and the service was HORRIBLE , the sever did an really bad job he came to the table and greeted us then said he would be back to get our drinks . After 30 min to an hour the server finally came back brought us chips and salsa and said once again he would be back . He finally came back to the table asked everyone what they wanted to drink and started bringing drinks back little at a time and STILL didnt bring everyone drink out . After another hour or two the server came back to take orders and it still took hours for the food to come out And when it did it was really COLD . if you dont like waisting money i wouldnt reccomand anyone going here. Im never going back again . Very POOR service

I eat here at least once or twice a month && the food is great ! Idk why everyone is leaving bad review off a one time experience.. But I'm always eating good && having drinks here && I have no complaints ! I've had a bad experience before.. My burrito was too salty but they brought the manager out && he fixed everything. Great place to eat..

Service staff was friendly and on point. No complaints. They did not have fresh avocado which should be a sin at a Mexican restaurant. Salsa is good. Shrimp tacos were okay but I had to build them myself.

If I could give 0 stars I would! The guy got my order wrong...then forgot to bring me my corrected meal...THEN he tried to keep my change. When I confronted him he tried to short me $2. The service is MUCH better in Papitos in Flowood. The service is like night and day. Ridiculous! When I told the manager she did nothing. I told her I feel like my food should be free or something. She shortly told me no and walked away from me in my face. I'm so disappointed and won't be back!

We found this delightful Mexican restaurant when we evacuated Florida and came to Jackson MS. Staff were friendly and our waiter was excellent. The food was great and served nicely. The owner made it a point to welcome us and talk about the hurricane. Affordable, ambience and fun. Cannot say enough good about Papitos. Just wish he would open one in Tampa Bay area.

The steak and chicken fajita nachos are delicious!

I didn't like the service food was cold the brought extra large glasses of water we didn't ask for, got 5 kids plates fries and strips no ketchup hamburger no ketchup, then charged us $15.98 for tip because we had more than 7 people will NEVER!!!!!! Go there again they SUCK??!!!!!!!!

Papitos has the worst customer service. I called to make a call in order and was told I couldn't make one but come in and order. I asked what's the difference between calling in and coming and was hung up on. I called back several times with no answer.Also another night we waited on our waiter forever the week prior and didn't receive our complementary items like chips and salsa.Save your money, they're a much better Mexican Restaurants in the Ridgeland area.

They add an 18% gratuity on 4 or more people. Not saying you should not tip (I am a server) it just should not be forced on such few people. ATLEAST 6-8 or more would be better.

Don't eat here!!! Meat was rancid!! Told no manager working so can't report it or comp my meal. But if I left my info they would give me a credit for my next visit!

I liked the food in here. They serve big portions.

My friends and I went here last weekend to eat. We sat down at around 7:30 PM and placed our orders. Several times after that, our waiter came back to our table to make sure he had taken our order. Other parties had been sat and served ahead of us. By the time we received our food, it was about 9:30 and only three of our four party members received our food, so we chose to wait until all of us were served before eating because we didn't want to be rude to the fourth. After waiting until almost 10:00 PM and after our food became cold, we all left the restaurant hungry and extremely dissatisfied with the horrible service we had received.I don't know if we had just drew the short stick or what, but I would most certainly not recommend eating here to anyone.
